Rolduc Abbey in Kerkrade is one of the most important monuments in the Netherlands. It is the largest abbey complex in Western Europe and one of the Dutch UNESCO Top 100 monuments. The abbey’s rich history dates back more than 900 years. Nowadays, the monumental complex has many different roles. Rolduc Abbey hosts a hotel with 150 double rooms and Conference Center Rolduc, with several lecture rooms, and an aula for 400 persons.

Rolduc Abbey is situated directly at the German border and only a short distance away from Belgium. Cities dating back to roman times like Maastricht, Aachen (city of Charlemagne) and Liege are less than a 30-minute drive away.
